A little bit about me

My name is Veta Wade, and I am a Montserratian blue advisor for regenerative ocean stewardship whose journey began in the shadow of a volcano, displaced but determined to make a difference for my island and the ocean that we share. I focus on ways we can empower island communities through marine education, citizen science, and environmental stewardship, and I'm hoping to do more of this in the Asian-Pacific too. I would love to know more about you.

Here are some of the ways we can collaborate.

My Story

From learning to swim as an adult, to founding Fish 'N Fins Inc., to helping local youth and communities become ocean leaders, my work is shaped by resilience, rootedness, and the drive to create real, inclusive change.

Whether is designing edventure experiences for diverse stakeholders/shareholders, curating knowledge sharing hubs, and capacity support required to identify  and unlock blue economy growth opportunities that are inclusive and long-lasting, or sharing my story around the world, I believe the most powerful action starts with lived experience and collective hope.

Join me as we rewrite what's possible for our oceans, one community at a time.

My journey is proof that no starting point is too humble for impact, and no community too small for big change.
